Ken Golub has fished competitively for over 17 years on both the local and national level. Throughout his years with FLW, he has competed both as a pro and a co-angler, racking up numerous top-10 finishes including three tournament victories.

As a USCG Licensed Captain with commercial insurance, Ken brings the same intensity and preparation to his guide trips that he does to the tournament trail. Whether you're a seasoned angler looking to sharpen your skills or a beginner stepping on a bass boat for the first time, Ken will put you on fish and help you become a better angler.

Based out of Pittsford, NY, Ken guides on the Finger Lakes, the Northeastern Basin of Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River, and Oneida Lake — some of the best smallmouth and largemouth bass fisheries in the Northeast.

Where We Fish

Finger Lakes

New York's Finger Lakes region offers world-class bass fishing across multiple pristine lakes. Clear water, rocky structure, and healthy bass populations make this a must-fish destination.

NE Basin of Lake Ontario

The northeastern basin from Henderson Harbor to the mouth of the St. Lawrence is a premier smallmouth fishery. Crystal clear water from zebra mussels lets you sight-fish over rock structure. Trophy smallmouth in the 5-6 lb class are a realistic possibility.

St. Lawrence River

The Thousand Islands region is legendary for bass fishing tournaments. Largemouth hide in the shallow bays while smallmouth cruise the deeper shoals and current breaks. Average smallmouth run 2-4 lbs with trophies over 5 lbs.
